Services - Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is a centuries old form of drug-free, non-invasive healing that uses various forms of touch to provide relaxation and relief from pain and stress. In addition to providing relief to the sick, the injured and those suffering from anxiety or stress, therapeutic massage also successfully works proactively to help prevent illness and painful conditions before they develop or flare-up. By manipulating the joints and soft tissues (i.e. muscles, skin, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments), Massage Therapists use a range of techniques to break the pain cycle and eliminate the original source of pain by increasing blood flow to the oxygen-deprived tissue as well as encouraging the body’s own natural healing process. Your treatment will begin with a thorough assessment from a well-trained Registered Massage Therapist. Once the best course of treatment has been determined and discussed with you, the therapist will leave the room to wash their hands and will typically use this time to prepare your hydrotherapy. Your comfort is of the utmost importance and you will remain covered at all times. The only area that will be undraped is the area being treated. Throughout the treatment, the therapist will continue to check on you ensuring the treatment stays within your tolerance and expectations. Should you feel pain or discomfort, please let the therapist know immediately. Once treatment has finished, the therapist will again leave the room while you take your time getting up and dressed. In some cases, the therapist will re-enter the room post-treatment to give home care instructions, remedial exercises or to discuss future treatments. Our massage therapists are specialized in:
